What is project SULOKANTA?

project SULOKANTA is a two-dimensional (2D) mobile rhythm game where round things called OBJECTS come from the four corners of the screen and come towards their respective sides of the SHAPE in the centre of the screen (each called SULOK). You must tap the OBJECT as it overlaps the SULOK in the beat of the music.

Background and Development

project SULOKANTA is inspired by two discontinued arcade rhythm games by Konami Amusement: REFLEC BEAT (2010–2018) and BeatStream (2014–2017). The game title comes from two Filipino (Tagalog) words: sulok which means corner, and kanta which means song. project SULOKANTA is also considered to be a spiritual successor to project HEXA.

After I learned my lessons from how I developed project HEXA and from those who played the game, I fixed some bugs found in the said game. That said, it took me over one month to develop project SULOKANTA.
